Good Things Only: A Wholesome Monthly Roundup (March Edition)
the small things that brought comfort, inspiration, and a little extra joy this past month
So excited to be back with another monthly roundup of Good Things Only. I’m a little late with this edition because, well, life happened—but hey, better late than never, right? It’s been a month of finding balance, embracing the changing season, and continuing to nurture the things that really matter. So, here’s what’s been keeping me grounded and inspired lately:
Something for the Body
Bone Broth by Beth – March has been unusually rainy and cold for this part of Spain, so I’ve been diving into homemade bone broths and stews to stay warm and nourished. Beth’s bone broth recipe has been an absolute game-changer. It’s rich in nutrients, easy to make with minimal ingredients, and incredibly healing for the gut. Plus, it’s the perfect comfort food for the last chilly days before spring. There’s something about sipping on a warm bowl of homemade broth that feels like a hug from the inside out—it’s nourishing for both the body and soul.
Sonja’s OG granola - Every week, I take some time to plan our meals for the upcoming week and do a bit of prepping. I know it’s not for everyone, but this is how I function best. My nervous system feels so much calmer when I can take this off my to-do list—one less thing adding to the mental load. One of my favorite things to prep (for breakfast or a snack) is Sonja’s nut and seed granola. I always adapt the recipe based on what I have in the kitchen, usually skip the oats, and it turns out so, so good every time.

Spending More Time Outdoors – With the sun setting later, I’ve been soaking up more outdoor time. Even though the recent time change messed with my daughter’s sleep routine (goodbye, early bedtime!), I’m loving the extra daylight and the chance to connect with nature.
Plus, living just 20 minutes from the beach hits differently once the days start getting longer and warmer. It’s my happy place—and the sound of the waves, the fresh air, and the wide open space always help me reset.
Something for the Mind
Open App – I’ve been loving the guided breathwork sessions on the Open app lately. It’s been such a helpful tool for managing stress, grounding myself between tasks, and bringing more mindfulness into my day, even if I only have a few minutes. If you’re curious about breathwork or looking for a gentle way to relax and reset, this one’s definitely worth checking out. You can try it free for 30 days and see if it clicks for you.
Reading Daniel Flora, MD, PharmD on Substack – I've been reading Daniel Flora’s Substack for a while now, and although cancer is a heavy topic, his evidence-based approach somehow makes it feel less scary. I have a long history of cancers in my family, and as a child, I remember feeling so terrified of it. That’s why Daniel’s perspective as an oncologist who pairs an integrative, preventive approach with the latest advances in cancer treatment has been such a valuable resource, both personally and professionally.
Something for the Soul
Watching With Love, Meghan on Netflix – There’s been a lot of buzz around this series, with plenty of debate and critique, but I genuinely enjoyed it. For me, it felt inspiring—it’s about romanticizing life, leaning more into nature, and truly cherishing the little moments. And I’m all for that.
A Quiet Reminder – Never underestimate those who read you in silence. A few days ago, I received a message from one of my subscribers telling me how much they’ve been enjoying my content and inviting me to be a guest on their podcast.
They had never liked or commented on anything—they simply read and watched quietly.
It was such a meaningful reminder that you never really know whose life you might be impacting with your words. You never know who’s out there, reading, resonating, and quietly cheering you on. So, write the post. Publish the note. You might be reaching more people than you realize.
A Little Bit of Everything
Talking About Feeding Kids Real Food – One of the highlights of my month was having the opportunity to talk about feeding kids real food on Beth’s platform. I'm so grateful to have been able to share my insights and tips around nourishing little ones with the good stuff. It's such an important conversation, and I’m excited to continue spreading the word!
Visiting the Fields of Peaches in Bloom in Aitona, Spain 🌺 – This was our second year visiting the blooming peach fields, and it was just as breathtaking as the first. The sight of endless rows of pink blossoms felt like something out of a dream—a beautiful reminder of how magical the natural world can be when you take the time to really look. And this year, we got the sweetest surprise while driving through the fields: hundreds of bunnies (babies and adults!) hopping around and popping out of their underground tunnels. Pure joy.
Planting Our Little Apartment Garden – We’ve started our little garden indoors for now, but soon we’ll be moving it out onto the balcony, and I couldn’t be more excited! Carrots, tomatoes, parsley, basil, and salad—there’s something really satisfying about watching it all come to life, one tiny sprout at a time. It’s also been such a sweet thing to do with my daughter, showing her how the food we eat grows and where it comes from. I can’t wait to see how it all turns out!

I hope you enjoyed this little peek into some of the things that have been bringing me comfort, inspiration, and joy this month. I’d love to hear what’s been lighting you up lately—feel free to share in the comments or drop me a message. Here’s to finding magic in the everyday moments that make life feel so special!
